WAC Европа

В Европе широко представлены организации различного масштаба и направлений, оказывающие услуги по вопросам, связанным с ВИЧ. Есть также специальная группа, Проект "СПИД и Мобильность"; и "Европейская Группа Лечения СПИДа плюс", чья работа является основой для некоторых международных групп таких, как GNP+ и ICW.

Несмотря на богатый опыт и компетентность многих групп, стала актуальной необходимость создания национальных и панъевропейских сообществ. Раньше самой крупной организацией, инициирующей сотрудничество, являлась Eurocaso, входящая в сеть ICASO. Недавно ее заменила AIDS Action Europe (AAE), которая теперь представляет Европу на встречах ICASO. Однако изначально она создавалась как голос европейского уровня, для решения вопросов, связанных с ВИЧ, в рамках внутренней политики Европейского союза в период расширения его состава.

На внутригосударственном уровне отмечен рост сотрудничества в сфере пропаганды и проведения кампаний, в особенности в ответ на нужды населения Крайнего Юга. Существуют разнообразные формы этого сотрудничества, и результатом могут быть соглашения по созданию локальных организаций по ВИЧ, работа с одной или несколькими международными агентствами по сбору средств, информирование общественности, комплексная пропаганда и проведение акций, а также сочетание этих форм сотрудничества.
