WAD 2006 “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.” posters, brochures and campaigning CD-Rom.

Thank you for your feedback on the WAC World AIDS Day Materials Survey!! To view the results from the survey, please see below.

After contacting over 2,000 people via email, we received 205 responses to the World AIDS Campaign (WAC) World AIDS Day (WAD) Survey from respondents from over 50 countries around the world.

Overall, responses about the WAD materials were generally positive – respondents were either satisfied or very satisfied with the WAC WAD materials they received. Respondents seem to like the posters and CD-Rom materials, and many made suggestions about CD-Rom content additions, including adding more practical activity advice for WAD activities and adding more general information about HIV and AIDS within the action packs. In terms of the WAD slogan, “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.” respondents overwhelmingly welcomed making the theme more political and found the sub-theme of accountability very useful.

In terms of media, respondents to this survey did not see the “Stop AIDS. Keep the Promise.” slogan very prevalently in the media during World AIDS Day. Respondents saw the most WAD media coverage within online and print news sources, and thought that statistical and personal stories about AIDS were the type of media stories that received the most coverage.
